Hi there, and welcome to Myself in Mind…my cozy little corner of the internet where mothers and wives come to reconnect with themselves and rediscover the freedom that comes with a little radical honesty.
I’m a dreamer through and through an introverted creative who thrives on meaningful connection. I’m also a highly relational person (translation: if we skip the small talk and jump straight into real conversations about life, faith, and what’s actually going on in our hearts…I’m in).
On paper, I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Professional Clinical Counseling & Christian Counseling, and I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside many people as they navigate the unpredictable seasons of life.
Somewhere along the way, I also built a tea company, EriTea, from scratch…which still feels a little surreal.
This space is where I share quiet comforts, harsh realities anchored in truth, faith filled moments, and everyday reminders that we’re still in here beneath all the roles we carry.
Stay a while because I’m just grateful to keep dreaming, creating and following where God leads even when the path is a little wildly unexpected.
Why Myself in Mind Exists
Writing from the heart and connecting with other moms and wives even from behind a screen feels like coming home. I started this blog as a space to honestly hold myself accountable, because I’ve found that what I’m learning tends to stick a lot more when I share. Going past surface level and addressing the heart of the issues and blessing around self care, marriage and motherhood in all their messy, beautiful glory, little thought check ins, and an occasional recipe I’ve actually tried (and loved). No pretense, no perfectly curated Pinterest moments just a reminder to be intentional.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
My Life Motto
This might sound a little “delulu”, but as someone once said, “Being delulu is the solulu.” And honestly? I agree. Imagination isn’t just a fantasy it’s a tool so use it wisely.
About EriTea
I’m originally from Eritrea which is exactly why my tea company is called EriTea. Because why not mix a little national pride with a hot or cold beverage and a good pun? It practically named itself.
The Not So Great Baker
Cooking? Love it when I am in the zone. Baking? Not so much. Apparently, I’m less “home chef” and more “mad scientist.” Who knew a cake could collapse, explode, and taste like regret because I eyeballed 2.5 teaspoons? Baking is edible algebra with consequences.
Dreamer & Supernatural Explorer
I’ve always been fascinated by the supernatural. Honestly, I couldn’t escape it even if I tried! And I’m not talking about the whole “new age, moon, sun, star” type of stuff. This is more anchored in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit moments of revelation that sometimes happen in dreams, sometimes while I’m wide awake. It’s hard to explain, so I’ll probably just end up writing a few blog posts about it.
