Hi there, and welcome to Myself in Mind…my cozy little corner of the internet where mothers and wives come to reconnect with themselves and rediscover the freedom that comes with transparency and a little radical honesty.
I’m a dreamer through and through an introverted creative who thrives on meaningful connection. I’m also a highly relational person (translation: if we skip the small talk and jump straight into real conversations about life, faith, and what’s actually going on in our hearts…I’m in).
On paper, I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Professional Clinical Counseling & Christian Counseling, and I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside many people as they navigate the unpredictable seasons of life.
Somewhere along the way, I also built a tea company, EriTea, from scratch…which still feels a little surreal.
But honestly? My proudest accomplishments it’s finally remembering and returning back to realizing my daughtership in Christ (I promise I’ll share soon so it makes sense), and being a mom to my Irish twins two incredible humans who teach me more about myself than any textbook ever could.
This space is where I share the honest reflections, quiet comforts, faith filled moments, and everyday reminders that we’re still in here beneath all the roles we carry.
So grab a cup of tea, settle in, and stay awhile.
I’m just grateful to keep dreaming, creating, above all GROWING and following where God leads even when the path is a little wild, wildly unexpected, and occasionally uncomfortable.
Why Myself in Mind Exists
Myself in Mind was born out of one of those “Is it just me?” moments. (Spoiler… it wasn’t.)
I wanted to create a space where we just kinda normalize the weird, wild, and wonderfully human parts of being alive. This is a place to challenge what keeps us spinning in circles and remind each other that being human isn’t a flaw…it’s kind of the whole point.
Writing from the heart and connecting with other moms and wives behind a screen feels like coming home. Here, we’ll dive into self care that actually works, marriage and motherhood in all their messy, beautiful glory, thought check ins, and cozy little moments of grace sometimes with a side of laughter, and occasionally accompanied by a recipe I actually tried (and loved). No pretense, no perfect Pinterest setups just honest reflections and a reminder that you’re not alone on this ride.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
My Life Motto
This might sound a little “delulu”, but as someone once said, “Being delulu is the solulu.” And honestly? I agree. Imagination isn’t just a fantasy it’s a tool so use it wisely.
About EriTea
I’m originally from Eritrea which is exactly why my tea company is called EriTea. Because why not mix a little national pride with a hot or cold beverage and a good pun? It practically named itself.
Journaling Obsessed
I’m a certified journal girlie. My pen is always ready, my thoughts always flowing. Nothing beats a good end of day brain dump that somehow turns into a mini TED Talk full of revelations no one asked for but everyone needed.
The Not So Great Baker
Cooking? Love it when I am in the zone. Baking? Not so much. Apparently, I’m less “home chef” and more “mad scientist.” Who knew a cake could collapse, explode, and taste like regret because I eyeballed 2.5 teaspoons? Baking is edible algebra with consequences.
Dreamer & Supernatural Explorer
I’ve always been fascinated by the supernatural. Honestly, I couldn’t escape it even if I tried! And I’m not talking about the whole “new age, moon, sun, star” type of stuff. This is more anchored in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit moments of revelation that sometimes happen in dreams, sometimes while I’m wide awake. It’s hard to explain, so I’ll probably just end up writing a few blog posts about it.
Don’t be shy and say hello! I can’t wait to connect with my fellow introverts & extroverts welcomed!
